Charles “Chuck” Lane Borskey, Sr., age 66, of St. Amant, LA passed away peacefully, though unexpectedly, from natural causes on September 11, 2023. Chuck was born on December 8, 1956 to Charles & Paula (Brignac) Borskey. He graduated from East Ascension Academy in Gonzales, LA & had a life-long career as an insulator with Anco Industries. Chuck was happiest when he was surrounded by his family, who meant the world to him. Chuck had a kind heart only matched in size by his imagination. He loved to create silly stories & wild tales for his children & later his grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. If you ever needed help or a shoulder to lean on, Chuck was the first in line to be there for you. He was a collector of things that he loved to share with friends & family & would often call or stop by to ask “Hey, do you want…I’ll give it to you.” He loved Snickers candy bars, “real” Coca-cola, & the wind blowing through his hair as he rode his motorcycle. Having lived all over the United States, he had a wanderer’s spirit & was always ready for the next adventure on the road. He was a friend to all, and he was fiercely loved by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Terri Borskey Hill, & sister-in-law Patty Shonk Borskey. He is survived by his children Charles “Lane” Borskey, Jr. (Lesly), Haley Danielle Borskey Nassif (Greg), & Jordan Jon Borskey (Brooke); grandchildren Ava, George, Owen, Lily, Graham, Elia, Jude, Wyatt, Aubrey, & Jon; siblings Carolyn Heard (Dan) & Clayton Borskey (Beth); and many nieces & nephews. Chuck loved his family beyond all else & they will greatly miss him. Chuck was a life-long member of New River United Methodist Church (46040 LA Hwy 22, St. Amant, LA 70774), where services will be held on Monday, September 18th, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow.
This man meant more to me than he will ever know! I feel very blessed to have had the friendship I had with him. And I know that I now have a guardian Angel to watch over me. Rest in peace my friend. And thank you for always having my back!
Borskey Family,
My Deepest Sympathy to all family and friends. Our EAA Class of 1975 recently had a reunion. I am so glad Chuck attended. He always had such a quick wit and super sense of humor. I know he will be missed. May God comfort everyone at this time.
I will miss you Chuck!

It’s been said MANY times of you uncle Chuck,”one in a million” that couldn’t be more true ! You were a true giver but not only of things (if u knew him u understand this )! My home and garage r full of stuff from u. Lots of times you’d have something maybe for minutes or years didn’t matter how long id mention how cool it was and next id know it was mine. I’ll miss conversations with u , some made sense lots didn’t . Last but not least I’d make u tell me sometimes “u love me” cause I know u did .. I love u uncle Chuck, miss u already!! RIP Brother Long live your memory GBNF
