Clayton Stevens, age 59, passed away Friday September 8, 2023. He was born in Georgia, raised in St. Amant, LA and lived his last several years in Livingston, LA next to some of the best neighbors he could have ever asked for. He was a caring father, grandfather, brother and friend. Clay was an outdoorsman at heart. He was happiest in the boat with a pole in his hands, or in the deer stand peacefully waiting for his next chance. He is survived by his beloved dog, Atti (short for Attitude, which we all know she is full of), his daughter Cristy Castille, son-in-law Colby Castille, grandchildren Brad, Macy, Eian, Kolbi and Cruz, his brother Dennis Martinez, sister-in-law Jan Martinez, a niece Meggan (Allen) Villnuve and a nephew McCall Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold (Carol) Stevens and Geraldine “Jerri” (Bud) Sargent, and brothers Gary Martinez and Kelby Stevens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LOPA- Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, or the Ochsner Transplant Hospital in Jefferson, LA.
My heart is broken, clay has been my brother since age 12. I loved him with all that I am. When we see each other again you know how hard I hug… So until we meet again. expect the best hug yet! I love you and miss you already. Hug our parents for me. I’ve been very blessed to have been your little sister.
Clay was an amazing friend and neighbor! I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him for the last 14 years! Always smiling and helping someone, my 7 year old spent many of days over there with clay and Atti! He will be so missed, 9 years ago he came to my wedding to be a witness, I will never forget that day! Rest in Heavenly Peace Clay! We love you!
I lost a dear friend today. Clay was so much full of energy and was always ready to help me when I was in a bind. I would always look forward to going to Livingston because I knew that he was always waiting for me to get there and go and do all sorts of stuff mainly going in the woods and working on deer stands, food plots and riding on the deer lease. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Clay
Clayton or as I called you…..CLAYTONA, you are already missed. It’s hard to believe and we can’t wait to wake up from this dream. Watch over us at Belle River and know you are truly loved!
My deepest condolences and prayers
My friend, my fishing partner and my brother….. words can not express how lost, heartbroken and in disbelief of your passing. You were truly one of a kind and I will miss you dearly. Until we see each other again my brother, fly high! Love you Clayton!
