Betty “Peanut” Arnold Nichols, 67, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at her home. Peanut is survived by her daughter, Teresa Coleman (Mike); her son, Garry Lovett Jr. (Leslie), six grandchildren, William Delaune, Jr. (Shanna), Monique Picou (Matthew), Casey Lovett, Corey Lovett, Paige Coleman, and Lexi Coleman; and six great-grandchildren, Amelia, Brandley, Reagan, Kye Michael, Mason, and Waylon. Peanut is preceded in death by her husband, John Nichols; her parents, Betty and Casey Arnold; and her sister, Mamie Fontenot.
Peanut will be missed greatly. It’s been a little bit since we talked but when we did, we picked up right where we left off and never missed a beat. I looked up to her and admired the way she handled herself with class and sophistication. She was beautiful inside and out. I am confident I will see her again someday along with the rest of our family that’s rejoicing in Heaven. Much love and prayers to all of you. May God give you peace and comfort always.
