Lawrence Berry, age 59, went to his heavenly home unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born in Poplarville, MS and raised in Arabi, LA with his late father and mother, Betty S. Berry. It was nothing for him and the love of his life to get in the truck and just start driving, going nowhere in particular, letting the open roads lead them for another weekend adventure. He had a lot of words that he had no problem sharing with anyone who would stick around to listen. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Lawrence was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and being on his boat. He was the happiest when he was on the water or in the woods scouting for deer, ducks, squirrels or rabbits. He found purpose mentoring his co-workers and prided himself being able to share his HVAC knowledge. He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Marie “Melena” Berry; daughter, Amy Triche (Ryan); son, Zachary Berry (Nicole); granddaughters, Emma and Ellie Triche and grandson, Houston Berry, which he referred to them as his squirrels; brothers in law, Luke Catalanatto (Dianne), Vincent Catalanatto (Myra); sisters in law, Sue Musacchia, Rose Robin, Lisa Catalanatto; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death were his parents; his sisters, Catherine Adams and Elizabeth Ann Berry; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luke and Wanda Catalanatto; his late brothers in law, Joseph Musacchia, Paul Catalanatto and Danny Robin. Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Services at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 on Monday, July 24, 2023. Visitation will be from 9am to 10:30 am. Father Cleo Milano will be officiating the Funeral Mass at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Mercy Traditions for Tomorrow Campaign.

Melena,
We are so sorry to hear about Lawrence. You both have been in our lives for 40+ years. Mostly in the center for over 30. Even when getting together for events it was if we were never miles away from each other. We love you and your family.
If we can help you please let us know.
Love the Queens
Melena, please know that you and your family are in my prayers. If you need anything please let me know.
