
Dalton “Beanie” Castille, a resident of Gonzales, suddenly passed away at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the age of 66. He was born on July 6, 1956 in Baton Rouge at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Beanie attended East Ascension High School in Gonzales. After serving in the United States Air Force, which included assignments in Arkansas and England, he returned to Gonzales. Beanie was a talented musician and played in several bands in the area. He was an avid LSU fan and had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dachshund Casheaux and his cats Ms. Pita, Toot and Lil Bit. Beanie is survived by his loving wife Barbara, stepdaughter, Angela Kessler (Jason) and grandson Chase, cousin Molly Lanoux Landry, special friends Sarah and Sammy Morales and their family, as well as numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mom Winona Lanoux McCarthy and stepdad Larry McCarthy. In his last selfless act on earth, Beanie gave the gift of life through organ and/or tissue donation. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Beanie was one of a kind and will be missed by all of those who loved and knew him.

Our hearts are hurting by your sudden and unexpected loss. I’m so glad that we were able to visit with you in July. Never in a million years would I have thought that would be the last time. We love you and we will miss you. Thanks for being a loving husband to my mom. I know she and Casheaux and your girls will miss you.
