On Monday, January 9, 2023, Michael James Ikerd passed away at the age of 57.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry O’Neal Ikerd, his uncles James Ikerd and Hubert Talley, and his aunt Jean Talley.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melissa Gregory Ikerd, and his two sons, James Michael Ikerd and Justin Michael Ikerd, his mother-in-law, Patsy Culpepper Gregory Vincent, and several cousins.
Mike loved to hunt and fish, and was a proud supporter of our troops, especially The Army. He proudly flew an American flag in his front yard.
To honor Mike’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
The family would like to thank Ochsner Hospital, DaVita Dialysis Center and The Carpenter House for taking such good care of him.
Melissa, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers.
