
Zac was a 2015 graduate of Walker High School. He worked as a greeter at Stine’s Lumber and Rouses Grocery in Denham Springs.
Zac is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rev. Nolan Carlton Johnston, Jr and Edith Terrell Johnston, his beloved Aunt Jans – Jan Johnston Walley and Jan Palmer Arnold, also Uncle Jimmy Dale Walley.
Family members waiting their turn to join Zac in heaven include his parents Jonathan Newton “Jon” Johnston and Julie Arnold Johnston; maternal grandparents Rev. Freddie and Elaine Sibley Arnold all of Walker, Louisiana; uncles and aunts Jim and Linda Johnston of McCall Creek, Mississippi, and Kerney and Katherine Arnold of Walker, Louisiana. Zac loved his big cousins Katie Arnold Hopkins (John), Jacob Arnold (Kaleigh), Kaleigh and Jason McMillan of Walker; Jared Walley (April) of New Braunfels, Texas, Jason Walley (Wendy) of Ellisville, Mississippi; Jeremy Johnston of Orlando, Florida, Jaron Johnston of Clinton, Mississippi. And, he loved his little cousins Joy Walley, Joshua Walley, Jack Walley, Jacob Walley, Jana Walley, Isaac Johnston, Levi Johnston and Savannah Rose Arnold.
Zac’s family would like to thank Dr. Keith Capone, who cared for Zac as his own from the delivery room throughout his life; caregivers Henry Winters and Renee LaComb; Aveanna Healthcare nurses Sherry Greer, who cared for Zac for seven years; Kendricka Collier, Ashley Woodson, Tom Ewell, Jody Livingston, and Tammie Wascome.
Zac lived life to the full! Jon and Julie, I am so very sorry to hear of Zac’s passing. Joe loved all of his patients, but Zac was so very special to him. Every small milestone Zac attained, he cherished. You both gave so much of yourselves to the Spina Bifida community that helped Zac live fully and joyfully.
