
Kathie Sue Barker, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at her daughter’s residence with the family around her after a battle with cancer.
She was a very strong person and was always helping others, even during the time of her illness. A native of Paris, OH and a residence of Livingston Parish since 2003. She was very proud of her Cherokee Heritage, a Cosmetologist for 36 years and a graduate of Gerber Beauty College in Ohio.
She is survived by her husband since 1991, Royce Barker of Livingston; two children, Joe’l Ash of Livingston and Noah Ash (Kymberlie) of Covington; sister, Beverly Nichol of Florida; brother, Tommy Conner of Ohio; five grandchildren, Jacob Beard, Jayden Beard, Raydin Ash, Aurora Ash and Jaxyn Ash; many step-grandchildren and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Conner and Francis Pyle Conner; grandson, Kirien Ash; granddaughter, Skye Ash; brothers, Timothy Conner, Ted Conner, Bob Conner; sister, Dorothy Arndt.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sister Kathie You will truly be missed @HopeCenter Church. All the hours you helped around the church on days I’m sure you really didn’t feel well . Your shoes will be hard to fill, they just don’t make them like you ❤️ Our last time of Prayer with you , your hands lifted in Praise To Our Great God .

Kathy was truly beautiful inside and out ❤ She always carried a beautiful smile, and her love for others was beyond measure. She will be greatly missed. I will always carry her in my ❤ heart.
