Jackie Kay Higgins Jones was born on September 4, 1956 in Clinton, Louisiana and passed from this life on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the age of 64 years. She was a resident of St. Amant, Louisiana. Jackie had recently retired from the construction industry and enjoyed spending most of her new-found time spoiling her grandson, Jaxon. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, in the kitchen, cooking the best fried chicken in the world. Some of her hobbies included driving anywhere in her modified Mustang 5.0, fixing/improving almost anything, and traveling with family. She was the type of person who always loved wholeheartedly and never met a stranger. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Per Jackie’s wishes, there will be no public funeral service, but instead there will be a small celebration of life held by immediate family. She is preceded in death by her father, Willie James Higgins, Jr.; mother, Beatrice McKee Higgins; sister, Palma Bonita Bonaventure; brother in law, Gary Bonaventure; nephew, Edward “Tank” Bonaventure; and Jeff Barbay, son in law. She is survived by her son, Thomas “Tommy” Riddle; daughter, Tonya Barbay; brother, James “Jamie” Higgins; grandson, Austin Riddle; grandson, Jaxon Barbay; nieces, Sheila Bonaventure, Delaney Higgins, McKenzie Higgins; nephew, Corey Higgins; and great niece, Kaylee Higgins.
