James Ray Cavin was born on March 18, 1977 in Baton Rouge and departed from this life on Tuesday December 15, 2020 at Clarity Hospice at The Crossing at the age of 43 years.
He was a resident of French Settlement, a painter and carpenter. He was an excellent artist from restoring things, building designs with driftwood, painting and being a tattoo artist. He will always be remembered for his huge heart and how he always put everyone ahead of himself.
He is preceded in death by his father Jim, and a son Trevor.
Survivors include his mother Patricia, fiancé Brandy, children Kayli, Casey and Colton, siblings Claudette, Robert, Angie, Christy, and Beth; also survived by his canine companions Trouble, Sugar, Marley, and Oreo, other relatives, and host of friends.
