A ceremony celebrating the life of Sidney W. “Sonny” Sibley Jr., will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at The Church International in St. Amant. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until the service at 11:00 am. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mark Stermer and interment will follow at Stafford Cemetery # 1.
Mr. Sibley was born on November 15, 1951 in Baton Rouge and passed from this life on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the age of 69. He was a resident of St Amant, a retired Plant Manager, a member of The Church International, and an avid horseman. To most of his friends he was known as “Sonny”, and affectionally to his sisters as “Son”, to his daughter as “My Daddy”, to his grandkids as “Paw” and to a neighbor as “PAPA Bear”.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney W. Sibley Sr. and Stella Starns Guy, and a brother-in-law, Wayne Peplow.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Darlene Lee Sibley, his children, Robby Sibley and wife Michelle, Jenny Peppers and husband Luke, sisters, Betty Peplow, Linda Marino and husband Larry, and Lillian Beller and husband Fred, grandchildren, Zachary Sibley and wife Kylie, Jonathan Peppers and wife Katie, Cameron Sibley, Caleb Peppers, Jaden Sibley, and Ava Peppers, great grandchild Ayla Peppers; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Zachary Sibley, Cameron Sibley, Caleb Peppers, Jaden Sibley, Cartrell Decuir and Aaron Stevens.
Honorary pallbearers are Paul McLin, Robby Sibley, Shane Lee, and Luke Peppers.
Darlene, so sorry for your loss, I am praying for you and your family.
We are so sorry for your loss. But we carry great memories and wonderful blessings that were poured out. We love you and your beautiful family Mrs Darlene and will lift y’all in prayers for even the days ahead.

Darlene and family, I so sorry for the loss you are feeling right now but also rejoice that Sonny will be spending his first Christmas in Heaven this year. This is Mom and Dad’s 5th Christmas in Heaven. I love you and I’m here if you need me.
