It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Lindon Hardison announces the passing of one of the most loving men they’ve ever known, on Monday January 14, 2019, just two days shy of his 75th birthday. Robert will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Shelley Guillera Hardison, and children- Micheal (Youry), Genevieve (Alex), Lizzy (Justin) and Rachel. He will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren- Gavin(16yr), Logan(14yr), Layla(8yr), Harper(4yr) and Mira(2yr), by his brother, David(Terrie) and his sister in law, Joy Hardison Sims, along with many other family and friends. Robert will be joining his parents, Luther and Elizabeth Thompson Hardison, along with his brother, John Hardison on the other side. Robert has been truly uplifted by the outpouring of love and care from so many family and friends. A memorial service will be held for Robert at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church located at 5875 Canal Boulevard in New Orleans, La 70124 on Monday January 21, 2019 at 2pm. Visitation at 1:30-2pm. Gathering in Fellowship Hall following service. Arrangements by Church Funeral Services and Crematory. Robert has requested donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. His parting wish is that we all set aside our differences and just love one another!

Robert was an amazing man. I will miss his love, humor, wisdom and his kindness. I am very grateful for the fun times we had and the support in the not so fun times. I am especially blessed for the time had together in the last few days and the heartfelt talks we shared. You will be missed brother. Love you forever.
I am so sorry her of your lost Shelly. My prayers are with you and your family.
Elizabeth and family,
I’m super sorry for your loss. Your dad was a wonderful man. I remember him at your birthday parties in elementary school, always with a huge smile. May he rest in perfect peace.
