I was sad to hear of Henry Reed’s death. Henry was a great Architect. He knew code and he knew how to apply it. Henry became my chief Architect when Jerry Jones left the Fire Marshal’s Office. When you submitted plans to the Fire Marshal’s To fiche for approval and if Henry was the reviewing he made sure your plan followed the Life Safety code. He would work with you as long as you in no way jeopardized life safety.
Henry Reed was his worst enemy but he was loved by everyone. There was only one Henry Reed. I’m happy that he served many years with the Fire Marshal’s Office. I’m glad I got to work with Henry Reed. May he rest in peace.

I was fortunate to have known and worked with Henry. He was a very unique and wonderful person. He loved cooking Wild Game and would come by my home to visit when I cleaned out the freezer to make room before Hunting Season; always very appreciative, kind hearted and loved to talk. Henry brought me a Pottery Jar he had made, it is a very nice piece that I will cherish.
He will be greatly missed.
