Christopher Jay (Chris) Acosta, Sr., a resident of Amite passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 15, 2021 with his daughter by his side. He was 62 years old, born on November 28, 1958 in Covington.
Chris had a 30 year career working in maintenance for Apex Oil in Port Allen which sent him to locations along the Mississippi River and Gulf Coast.
He is survived by his daughter, Shaa Acosta and three siblings; Andrea Acosta, Ray (Sally) Acosta and Kathy (C.J.) Couvillion. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Sonia Acosta.
Chris was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Acosta, Jr. and his parents, Ray and Shirley Acosta.
A celebration of Chris’s life was held at Wholly Ground in Walker.
