The greatest wife, mom and grandmother in the world was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 2:14PM. She was born December 28, 1926 and lived 96 years in St. Amant, Louisiana. She worked some in her younger years, but devoted her life to the work within her home, raising her children and taking care of her grandchildren.
She will be remembered as the most dedicated servant to the Lord. She was truly a virtuous woman of God, selfless and gracious. She knew God’s Word and was filled with His wisdom and quoted His Word regularly. She diligently prayed over her family. She was artistic and creative. None could beat her fried bread she’d make, very few would ever win against her in a game of scrabble and everything she did with a cup of coffee in her hand. Swinging on her front porch was her place to relax and enjoy what God had given her. And in her last days, she would recite poetry and sing hymns with anyone who would sit and listen.
She is survived by her four sons, three daughters and spouses. Hudson and Sheila Billingsley, David Billingsley, Donald and Carleen Billingsley, Patrick and Donna Billingsley, Cathy and Randy Bruner, Elyse and Travis Debenedetto, and Lequita and Chip McCloud. As well as 22 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Henry Joseph Frederic and Saraphine Guidry Frederic, her husband Harry (Billy) Hudson Billingsley, daughters, Gisele Vernice Billingsley and Sandra Inez Bersanceney. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 22nd, at New River Baptist Church, 45270 HWY 429, Saint Amant, Louisiana starting at 9:00AM, services will begin at 11:00AM, with the burial to follow.
We celebrate with her as she now is in her mansion in Heaven and will cherish the memories had with her forever.
What a wonderful legacy this loving, caring and spiritual mom has created. She shared her caring and her affection with anyone lucky enough to be near her, especially her family. She will be missed by so many but her love remains and fills so many hearts. Now is mama’s time to rest. Much love, Susan & Steve casenza.
Elyse and family, May we all be as blessed as your Mama who lived a life full of love, family and friends. Now Althee Rita gets to swing on the greatest and most beautiful front porch of them all. Love you E.

So very sorry for your loss. You were all blessed to have her so long. She was a precious soul with a sweet spirit and beautiful smile.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Such a sweet person. I have fond memories of going to visit her with her cousin Normie, when I was her Caregiver. We’d sit outside and had a cup of coffee and talked with her. My deepest condolences to the family, may the Lord give you comfort at this time of loss.
