A graveside celebrating the life of Violet LeBlanc Denham, 85, will be held at 10:30 am on Friday February 25, 2022, at New River Baptist Church Cemetery, St Amant.
Mrs. Denham was born on November 23, 1936, in Baton Rouge. She was a resident of Gonzales, and passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at her daughters home surrounded by her family.
She was an exceptional cook and homemaker. Her favorite thing to do was to make her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren feel loved by preparing their favorite meal on their birthday. Violet will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Riley D. Denham, parents Jack and Lucy LeBlanc, and her brother Carl LeBlanc.
Survivors include her daughter Sandy Lighfoot and son Randy Denham (Rene’), grandchildren Raley, Ryann (George), Ann Marie (David), Regan (Sami), and Thomas, great grandchildren Reese, Dawson, Kenley, Kennison, George Jr., and Julie, her brother Larry LeBlanc, and a host of friends.
A special “Thank You” to Dr. Satish Gadi, Pinnacle Hospice, Tina LeBlanc, and Charlene Bourgeois (caregiver), for their care and support.
I’m sorry for this great loss in the Denhan family. Ms Violet was a sweet and friendly lady and I know she will greatly missed by her family and friends. God bless her soul.
My husband Ewell (Buddy) and I became members of
Mrs. Violets’ family when her granddaughter Ann Marie and our son David married. We quickly learned that
Mrs. Violet loved her family deeply and demonstrated her love for them with admirable tenderness. We will miss
Mrs. Violet and grieve God’s calling her to Heaven to become a member of His faithful family. Although Mrs. Violets’ time with us was limited, we treasure our shared memories. Her gentle spirit will live within our hearts as a reminder that she was a one-of-a-kind strong, yet gentle, woman. Buddy and I look forward to the day we embrace her as a member of God’s family in Heaven.
