A ceremony celebrating the life of Joan Mary Shirah will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Redeeming Life Ministries, 31291 Walker Road North, Walker, LA, 70785 with visitation beginning at 5:30pm. Joan was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Denham Springs, LA and passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 she was 68 years old. She is preceded in death by her mother Leona Threeton Furlow and son Jerry Lee Carmena. Survived by her loving husband Foylyn Shirah; daughter Joan Martello; son John David Fitzgerald; stepsons Jason, Daryl, and Zachary; sister Brenda Bell; brother Buddy Babin; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and 2 nephews.
