Paul Rash was one of my very best friends from the 7th grade in Lake Village, Arkansas until the day the Lord came to take him from his cabin in Norfork, Arkansas July 29.
He attended Lake Village schools from first through 12th grades. He lettered in basketball and football, and served on Student Council for two years. He was voted Class Favorite and remained a favorite to his close high school and college friends. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was a member of Phi Lambda Chi Fraternity at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He recently attended a reunion of the fraternity in 2019. Paul also served in the Army National Guard for six years.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lake Village. He could be seen driving his mother to church on most Sunday evenings.
Paul was a devoted son to his mother “Jo.” And a very loyal friend to close high school and college friends who greatly valued his friendship.
As we grew older and talked about our failing health, Paul was faithful to his belief in Jesus Christ. We talked about the people who would greet us at Heaven’s Gate. He was one of the loves of my life and I know I will see him again.
