
Charles “Charlie” McVea Boze, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on September 25, 2023 at the age of 79. He was a long-time employee of Kleinpeter Farms Dairy and the State Times and Morning Advocate. Charlie proudly served in the US Navy. He loved watching LSU sports and spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren play ball.
Charlie is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Shoney; his children: Beth and Scott Templet, Donna and Todd Culley, Mark and Rita Boze, and Brenda and Robby Roach; his grandchildren: Jackson (Elizabeth) and Ashlynn Culley, Braedon Boze, Bennett Templet, Bobby (Taylor) and Randy Roach; his great-grandchildren: Miles and Genevieve; his siblings: Kathleen and Glynn Breaux, Patty Montet, Jeannie Rasmussen, Melanie Cullen, Lindy and Gene Percy, and Mark and Lee Montet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Birma Montet; his brothers-in-law Fred Rasmussen and Michael Cullen.
Charlie will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his outgoing personality and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service to celebrate Charlie’s life will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Faithful United Methodist Church of St. Amant with visitation starting at 9am until service time at 11. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Our hearts are saddened so, with the news of Charles passing. He was a good man, husband and father to his family and all who knew him. It is with all the love in our hearts and our deepest sympathy for each of you that we send our thoughts and prayers to you all during these days. He will be sadly missed here on this earth ,but has been called up in Heaven by Our Mighty Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into God’s Beautiful Kingdom of Heaven, where he hurts no more, the suffering has ceased, he is free from disease and washed from pain. He has been blessed with eternal love, joy and peace in his new home with Our Father for an eternity. He will never be forgotten and will be watching over you all from above until each of his loved ones will once again be united with him in the Holy Kingdom. With all the love in our hearts and prayers for each of you- we will remember the happy good times and think of the joys of celebrating Charles life as we knew it!
