The family will hold a graveside memorial service at a later date and time. A sincere thank you goes out to the staff of Baton Rouge General, Mid-City for caring for her during her most recent visits.
My heart is very saddened. I loved Mona . We were friends for over sixty years. We had the time of our lives. Always laughing. Along with Betty Godso, we would go to town every Saturday and shop. Mostly window shop. We thought we were something special and grown up. Lol! We would walk twenty five blocks to town and then ride the city bus home. It cost 15 cents each way. If we got a hamburger and cherry phosphate, we often would have to walk home. Mona’s brother, Ronnie, would of come with us. We didn’t hang around Patricia and Michael, because they were younger and we were grown up at 12 years of age. Lol! What I wouldn’t do to do those things again! Mona, please give my Momma, Aunt Rubye and Ronnie my love. Love you!
On behalf of the entire staff at Life Source Hospice, please accept our condolences on the loss of your loved one. Our hearts are moved with compassion for you and your family. May the peace and comfort of God be with you all during this time of bereavement.
