
A resident of Baker, LA at the time of his death, he attended the Taft Independent School District Schools in Taft, Texas. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was awarded the purple heart, an honorable member of the American Legion and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, an avid musician who enjoyed fishing with his family.
He is survived by his son, Adam Hinojosa, Jr, and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Aadan Hinojosa, Ainsley Barker, Christian Hinojosa and Braedan Hinojosa; sisters, Beatrice Velasquez and Linda Vallejo; brother, Tony Tijerina. He also has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Hinojosa; father, Pete Hinojosa; mother, Blasa Grande; five brothers and five sisters.
A memorial gathering in his honor will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Wholly Ground, 27988 Walker South Rd, Walker, LA.

This was by far the most professional and compassionate service I’ve ever encountered in this line of business. Mr. James went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and satisfied. We had a special request and he made it happen. The love and support this team can give is beyond anything I’ve experienced so far.
