Shane Joseph Stevens, 60 passed away peacefully December 31,2022 with his wife, girls, and grandson by his side. He was a lifelong resident of St. Amant, LA and an employee of Ascension Parish School Board in Maintenance for 21 years. He will be missed by his wife Sherri L. Stevens of 35 years; their two beautiful girls and son-n-laws, Shae and Paul Cummins, and Samantha and Justin Bumgardner; their four grandboys, Brody, Brady, Brooks, Breck; brothers, Shannon Stevens, Shelly Stevens; sister, Cissy Billiot and spouse Daren; nieces and nephews Amber, Mary, Maegan, Garrett, Erin, Daren Jr.; and great niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Don and Mary Villinerve Stevens; grandparents, W.E. Bill and Mary Ory Stevens, and Emauel and Louise Rodrigue Villinerve; sister-n-law, Mona Higginbotham. Honorary Pallbearers: Shannon, Daren, Paul, Justin, Brody, Brady, Brooks, Breck. A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 4pm-7pm with religious service at 6:30pm at: River of Life Worship Center 18295 LA Highway 16, Denham Springs La.70726. Meal and fellowship will be during viewing.
Shane was a great man and my families heart goes out to Sherri, Shae, Samantha, and the rest of the family. He will be greatly missed here on earth but very welcome up in heaven where he’ll be watching over ya’ll.

I’ve spent many summers with Shane and the rest the family when we were young.
They were more than just cousins we were all like Brother’s and Sister’s.
From the moment the sun came up we played every kind of Ball there is and Fished every Bayou along with
Ray Stout’s catfish ponds. 🙂
