Barbara Lamey Ghirardi, age 94, a native of Morgan City, Louisiana and a resident of Plaquemine, Louisiana died Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 7:25 PM surrounded by family at home.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Susan Ghirardi Jumonville (husband- Henry Jumonville) of Plaquemine, Louisiana; a brother, Walt Lamey; Grand Children, Sunday Jumonville (children/great grandchildren: Hailey and Hunter Caballero) Henry “Wil” Jumonville (wife: Anne Favrot Jumonville, children/great grandchildren Jace Jumonville and Jarred Favrot).

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roland C. Ghirardi; Brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Lamey; Mother, Amanda Eve Lamey and Father, Walter Lamey.

Anyone that knew her called her “Bob.” Beautician, worked at Morgan City recreation center for many years until she retired at the age of 76. Faithful servant, devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, godmother. Family always came first. Taught us all how to forgive and love. We pray that we can continue her legacy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Francis of Assisi, Donaldsonville, LA on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 10AM until 11AM.  The Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM.  Interment, St. Raphael Cemetery, Point Pleasant.  Church Funeral Services and Crematory, St Amant, LA is in charge of the arrangements.
