Brenda Kay Whittenberg, 64, of Baton Rouge, La., passed away peacefully after an extended illness, on June 16, 2021. She was born on July 31, 1956 to Billy Gene and Carrie Ann Whittenberg of Aldrich Missouri. Brenda is survived by sisters Karon June Buras of Picayune, Ms. And Kathleen Ann Melilli of Lake Charles, La. Brenda had retired after working for 30 years with the Louisiana State Sea Grant Department. A private family graveside service will be held in the near future.
