Darlene Kay Richard passed away at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 11, 2021 in French Settlement at the age of 69. She was a retired child nutritionist with APSB.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge conducted by Pastor Mike.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Richard Todd and fiance’ Cuthbert Chester; son, Clayton J. Richard, Jr. and fiance’ Rebecca Daniels; sisters, Janine Chartin and Gwen Guitreau; grandchildren, Kelsey Ledet, Lillian Richard and Brenden Todd; great-grandchildren, Mason and Amelia Ledet.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clayton J. Richard, Sr ; parents, Amadie Guitreau and Annie Laurie Guitreau; brothers, Paul Wayne Guitreau and Randy Guitreau.
Church Funeral Services in St. Amant 225-644-9683 is in charge of arrangements.
Darlene will always be a great memory for me! She would sit in my chair to get her haircut and we would laugh and joke until the time she left! She never complained and always had nothing but good things to say about people. Family was very important to her and having all friends and family around her made her happy! Love and miss you! ❤️ Always in my heart, until we meet in heaven my friend!
