Walter Thomas Givens (Henderson), 66, of Denham Springs, LA passed away at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA on January 30, 2021. Walter was born in Baton Rouge, LA to Alice Monte and Roy Henderson, raised by Joe Givens.
Walter is survived by his children and their spouses Rochelle “Shelley” and Ricky Boudreaux, Sharon and Brian Rigsby, Thomas and Britni Givens, and Amanda and Eli Ickes. He was extremely proud of his eight beautiful grandchildren, Lorelei, Savannah, Gabriella, Alyss, Lydia, Jane, Tenley, and Clark. He is also survived by his sisters, Prissy and her husband Donny Breaux, Lucy Holwager, and his brothers David, Donald, and Denny Henderson, and their children. He was preceded in death by his mother and fathers.
His Celebration of Life will be held at Milldale Baptist Church in Zachary, LA on February 20, 2021 at 1:00pm. In honor of his memory, you may wear something red if you choose.
Walter was my cousin and my buddy. I am honored that our mothers were sisters. I know that we will be together again some day.
Walter is going to be greatly missed, I will miss his talks. He sure was a very sweet man, loved God and his family. Gone way too soon.
