Loving mother, grandmother, dedicated sister and friend passed away on the evening of October 22nd at the age of 80. She was surrounded by her three children at the time of her passing. She was born and raised in the small town of Opelousas, LA and graduated from Opelousas High School in 1958. She moved to Baton Rouge, LA shortly after graduation where she married, raised her three children and resided for 61 years. She was truly a natural born nurturer. Her main ambition in life was to have a family and raise children. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, love, laughter and ministering of God’s word. Jesus’ love shined through her. She will be truly missed by all who love her, but we have the hope through Jesus we will see her again. She is survived by her children, Devit Rock and husband Mark, Kyle Roppolo and wife Jaime, Chrissy O’Sullivan and husband Kevin; five grandchildren; Taylor Davalos, Elise Blackburn and husband Dylan, Dylan O’Sullivan, Dawson O’Sullivan and Ariana Roppolo; her sister, Yvonne Valin; and brother, Charles Devillier and wife June; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Bessie Devillier, sister, Barbara Sanchez and husband Ronnie; brother in law, Gene Valin; and grandson Jared Rock. Services will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA on Friday, October 25, 2019. Visitation from 9am to 11am with mass to follow. Interment at Serenity Oaks. The family would like to express our deepest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Elizabeth Curtis and the entire staff at Old Jefferson Community Care Center for the excellent care and special love she received over the past eight years. My deepest condolences to you Devit, Kyle and Chrissy! Pat and I graduated from high school then went to work in Baton Rouge and were roommates!! Those days were so special to me!! I know she will be missed 🙏❤️
I can’t think about Miss Pat without smiling or laughing. She brought so much joy. Growing up with the Roppolo’s is is a vital part of most of my childhood memories. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
