Wendell Keith Thomas, 57, of Baton Rouge, departed this life to enter into eternal life with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Bluebonnet Location of Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge at 4:07 a.m. Wendell is a native of Baton Rouge born to Gladys Marie Thomas and William Joseph Thomas (“WJ”) on October 25, 1961. He is a graduate of Tara High, Class of 1979. He received his BS in Electronics Engineering Technology from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge. Wendell is survived by his wife, Dawn Carol Thomas; and five sons: Jonathan David, Donovan Jordan, Stephen Micah, Justin Noel, and Caleb Joel; mother Gladys Marie Thomas, three sisters: Terry Tonnette Williams (husband, Kenneth Williams), Pamela Kay Thomas, Stephanie Michelle Dudley, mother-in-law, Shirley Lewis Evans, three sisters-in-laws: Brenda Allen (husband, Glen Allen), Linda Evans, and Cynthia Milton, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grand- father John Winston Hill, grandmother Ruth Violet Hill; father William Joseph Thomas and brother Graylin Joseph Thomas. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on the 15th of August at Bethany South. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on the 15th of August 2019 at the South Campus of Bethany Church located at 11107 Honore Lane—Baton Rouge with Bethany Church officiating. Arrangements were made by Church Funeral Services & Crematory. The repast is to follow at Bethany South’s Warehouse.
