Oaklyn Elyse Perkins, precious baby girl of Amanda M. Hebert and Charles L. Perkins Jr., was born into the arms of angels on July 11, 2019 at Ochsner Hospital in Baton Rouge. Although Oaklyn never took a breath on this earth, she was very loved and touched many lives. Her big sister, Zayleigh, made sure every day that she knew how much we all love her. Our little angel will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her Maternal Great Grandparents Jeanne and Joseph Hebert, and Robert Meyers. She was also preceded in death by her Paternal Great Grandparents Elsie and Vernon Willis. In addition to her parents and big sister, she is survived by Maternal Grandparents Bartt and Lynn Hebert; Paternal Grandparents Roxanne and Truet Wilson; Maternal Great Grandparents Patricia and Lonnie Scott; Uncle Matthew Hebert; Aunts Brandi Hebert and Kelsey Lanier; Cousin Brayden Hebert. She is also survived by numerous great aunts and uncles. A private Memorial Service will be held at Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. The family would like to thank our sign language interpreters for all their love, compassion and support during this very tough time. We will be forever grateful. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May God’s peace and comfort be with you.
I am so sorry for the heartache you are all experiencing at this time, but rest assured from the moment of her arrival, she was ushered through Heavens gate straight to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Oaklyn, you were loved from the moment we all heard about your coming, and we are all saddened to know you weren’t able to stay with us longer. I know you are with MY Jesus and that you’re forever going to live in paradise! Watch over your mommy, daddy, and your big sister Zayleigh. One day you will all be reunited , and what a GLORIOUS day that will be! Oaklyn, send kisses from Heaven each time the wind blows across their face.
