A ceremony celebrating the life of Mrs. Jeanette Young Acaldo will be at 11 am on Monday at St Mark Catholic Church; visitation begins at 9 am. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery. Mrs. Acaldo was born on October 1, 1923 St Gabriel and departed from this life on Thursday September 27, 2018 at Gonzales Heath Care Center at the age of 94 years. She was a resident of Gonzales and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon V. Acaldo; son David P. Acaldo, siblings Sitman, Alvin, Joyce and Geneva. Survivors include her children Vernon, Charles, Gerald, Barbara Boe, Ronald, Mary Jane Pearl, Peggy Ficklin, Faye Templet, Michael and Steve; siblings Mary Ann, Mervin, Theresa, and Beverly; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
