Her Journey began on January 7th 1954 in Hammond, LA to Kelly and Josephine Lorio. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver, her charm and smile enlightened any given moment. She spent her recent few remaining years in the company of both her siblings and children. Rosemary will always be remembered as selfless, kind, and soft hearted. Mrs Merriett is survived by her sister and spouse Sherry and Terry Thomas; brother, Sal Lorio; and her two children and their father, Christopher Lance Pickering, Ashley Nicole Merriett and Ronnie Merriett. Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Aug. 25 at Colonial Cemetery, Hwy. 51, Independence.
