Melvin H. Watts Sr. was born on January 7, 1948 in Frost, LA to the union of Carew and Verna Watts. He passed from this life on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his home in Colyell, LA at the age of 70 years. He was a life-long resident of Livingston Parish. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela Wilson Watts; children Melvin H. Watts Jr and Shannon Watts and spouse Lea Ann Watts all of Colyell; grandchildren Brooklyn, Hope and Tyler Watts of Colyell and Alexis Dugas of Walker; siblings Glen Watts of Colyell, Betty Watts Pope of Amite and Inell Watts Ashworth of Pollock. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, siblings Joe Ray Watts, Ernestine Watts Ashworth and Rita Watts Brown. Visitation will be held at Colyell Baptist Church on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 5 pm until 9 pm and will resume on Tuesday at 9 am until funeral services at 1 pm; conducted by Rev. Paul Taylor.
