Edward Charles ‘Buddy’ Rousseau was called to heaven on Father’s Day, June 17, 2018, at the age of 83. He was born in Port Vincent on December 12, 1934, to Octave Noel Rousseau and Amelia Cambre Rousseau. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Buddy was a Master Mechanic who loved fishing, woodworking, leatherworking, dancing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lois Harrell Haydel Rousseau; daughters, Sheila H. (Hudson) Billingsley, Connie H. (Eddie) Clouatre, Jackie H. (Carl) Parker; daughter-in-law, Terri M. Rousseau; grandchildren, Clint, Katherine, Patrick, Jeremy, Kasie, Ahren, Austin, Cherry, Kerrie and Jeremiah; 18 great grandchildren; siblings, EdnaMae R.(Robert) Aydell, Katie R.(Sammy) LaCarbo, Marvin (Jane) Rousseau; godchildren, Sheila L. Aydell and Dale Cambre; and very special sister-in-law, Rita H. Gregg. Preceded in death by his parents and his dear parrain, Damien Joseph ‘Uncle Dom’ Cambre. Memorial mass will be Friday, June 22, 12:30 pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement, visitation beginning at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Jude, in memory of Buddy.
